This rare find, newly digitized in 2023 from an old DAT tape, is the final take of a full orchestral performance of the "Town Night A" theme from Might and Magic V: Darkside of Xeen... Or rather, "Town Night A" heard in Might and Magic is an arrangement of an excerpt from this full piece called "C Minor Lament", having been composed by Greg prior to Might and Magic V. Actually, that is an orchestral version of an even earlier spontaneous solo sax piece by him (also called "C Minor Lament").

This does give an example of what to except if the money is raised to complete a full orchestra performance of the entire Might and Magic V soundtrack.

Since the full piece obviously contains much material absent and starkly different from the excerpt heard in Might and Magic V, it could make a good End Credits song.

The excerpt heard in Might and Magic V was initially submitted to New World Computing to be the "Outdoors Night: Lava", but after being rejected, was later submitted under the name "Town Night A". Although intended for the night, in the final version of the game, it is merely one of five themes selected to randomly play in any town regardless of the time of day.

As a bonus, in additional to the orchestral version and sax version, this single includes every known version of this theme, all recorded with the authentic sound card they were made for (absolutely no emulation).

90% of this sale (minus Bandcamp fees) go directly to Gregory Alper, to help recover costs of orchestration and DAT tape recovery (which are significant). Bonus game versions are included by me for free.

NOTE: For collection purposes: Currently the only track unique to this single is the orchestra version.
