*****PC-9801 (OPN) VERSION*****
The PC-9801 (OPN) is a daughter version of the original Roland MT-32 version of the soundtrack. The data was originally converted and prepared by Todd Hendrix from the composers' original MIDI files for the PC MS-DOS version of the game. This converted data was then given to the StarCraft Japanese design team, which programmed the unalterated data to run through the PC-98's soundcard.

This soundtrack has been recorded using a real PC-9821 equipped with a PC-9801-86 (OPNA/OPN) soundcard.


*****PC-9821 (OPNA) VERSION (UNRELEASED)*****
The PC-9821 (OPNA) is a daughter version of the original Roland MT-32 version of the soundtrack. The original themes were arranged and programmed by the Japanese musician Takeshi Abo for the OPNA soundcard for the 256-color PC-9821 version of the game. That version was ultimately never released by StarCraft. It has been purchased and released exclusively through Xeen Music.

This soundtrack has been recorded using a real PC-9821 equipped with a PC-9801-86 (OPNA/OPN) soundcard.

*****FM-TOWNS (OPN2) VERSION*****
The FM-TOWNS (OPN2) a daughter version of the original Roland MT-32 version of the soundtrack. The data was originally converted and prepared by Todd Hendrix from the composers' original MIDI files for the PC MS-DOS version of the game. This converted data was then given to the StarCraft Japanese design team, which programmed the unalterated data to run through the FM-TOWNS's OPN2 soundcard.
